The Trifecta (Preview)
User Rating: / 1
A moderate tempo blend of three distinct genres: Classical, Metal and Hip Hop. Maintains a solid groove while providing lots of room for improvisation. Its a good introduction to my styles, and I'll be uploading more "strictly" death metal and "strictly" jazz tracks in the future.

Here's a tricky piece. Mostly in a fast 5/4, with the pulse on the offbeat. Sections in 9/8 and 4/4. Includes (shaky) vocals. Interested to see what you can come up with, post a video on youtube or something. To get some ideas for rhythms, etc, check it out on www.myspace.com/markfeaverandtheflujabs

Vengeance Through Apathy - 130 BPM (Preview)
User Rating: / 28
Deep-fried southern hard rock/metal. Chugs along like train full of blood-covered chainsaws. Nope, not sure what that means either.

75BPM - Winterache (Preview)
User Rating: / 42
4/4 with some 6/8-feel over 4/4. Includes a middle break and an outro. The slower pace is excellent for working on perfect timing, while the 6/8 feel parts will test your multi-limb work and provide opportunity for some hi-hat work.

150BPM - Without You (Preview)
User Rating: / 33
Once there was punk. Then the punks decided sweaty guys in mosh pits were getting old, and girls smelled pretty. That's when they made the unholy blend of Pop/Punk.
Rock out while your girlfriend admires your ability to talk about your feelings. Time to practice stick twirls and eye winks.

Dreamy 6/8 feel over 4/4 which then switches to 6/8 over the chorus. This is a sandbox for creativity and subtle hi-hat/snare work.

Inspired by the "Deftones" chord, this gives you 4 distinct sections repeated 3 times over 5 minutes. You'll find plenty of space for hi-hat/snare interplay (get that left foot working!).

The intro is heavy which should be fun double bassing. Then it moves to a nice melodic groove (verse, chorus feel) which is repeated two times before ending with hard in your face outro.

80BPM-NuEmo-01 (Preview)
User Rating: / 41
Nu-metal feel with emo-like chorus. Great for working on meticulous timing work. There is a LOT of space here and accuracy counts! 16th note section is fun for some single-foot bass work, chorus is nice and emotional.
